 4 Pass Loop in July
One of my friends wanted to do the 4-pass loop. I was initially kind of apprehensive, as I'd never done a backpacking trip without bagging some peaks as well.

The weather was just about perfect and the conditions were good. It was muddy in some places, and we did have to cross many snowfields. The advantage of the "early" date was we had the full amount of wildflowers and they looked really nice. I planned on getting GPS tracks for the whole hike, but my phone battery tanked on day 2 and only provided about 30 minutes of data collection.

Lessons learned:
An external battery is nice to have if you want GPS function for multiple days
I do eat a lot, even more so when I am backpacking for 8+ hours a day
Having a small towel to dry off feet after stream crossing is valuable.
Long sleeve shirts are handy to keep sun off your arms in addition to being warm
Double check the amount of tent-stakes you have and how many you need!
