 Wandering the Southern Weminuche
Wandering the Southern Weminuche

The Endlich Mesa TH sits high on the Endlich Mesa just below treeline and just outside the southern border of the Weminuche Wilderness. The trailhead itself was everything I expected it to be: a sign, some guy passing through on a horse, and me. With a late afternoon arrival, I had some time to spare and after using every muscle in my body to steer my vehicle up the road, I was starving. 3 bowls of Life cereal and a cold Modus later, I was ready for a power nap. Post nap it was time to survey the land. That night I walked a little less than a mile out to Point 11,958' to catch the sunset. Keep reading...

You're all pretty funny.

Marsters - You can't quote me until you drink a water with me.

Zambo - Spelling is overrated. Is Oso near Yale in Winter?

Abe - Best cereal ever. Hands down. Boise looks as cool as folks talk it up to be!

Chalk - When your arthritis mellows out and your grand kids aren't over, we should get together.

Jay - I say it all the time, but the only MAN is you!

Thanks gang. Was a great day out there!

You don't know it yet, but in August you're coming back in here with me to hit Organ and Amherst from Vallecito as a daytrip.

I must have missed this when I was out there a few weeks ago. You've been WAY too quiet lately! Don't you know I go into withdrawal symptoms if I don't read a new report by you every couple of weeks! SUPER pictures as usual. The one of Pk 22 looks like a volcano with the cloud directly above it.

haha. Look at myself. I'm on it. Keep me posted on the 2018 CO 20. Best thing for a bad ankle is to buy a Fitbit and walk 10K+ steps everyday. You got this.
