 Crystal Peak - East Bowl
Solo skin/ski from Spruce Creek TH to Crystal Peak and back. Departed TH at 0815; summited at 1245; returned to trailhead at 1430. Good snow all the way. There is fair coverage remaining on Peak 10's southern slopes which allowed me to skin around (to the north) the headwall separating Lower Crystal Lake from Upper Crystal Lake. The snow above the lakes was chalk for the most part which was nice. For the ski down later in the day, the snow was getting wet but wasn't grabbing my skis. I saw no evidence of avalanche/slide activity on any of the slopes which empty into the Crystal Creek basin. The attached photos show current snow coverage. A great day and a good workout. I saw no other human beings during the trip.
