My Longs Peak Hike - Keyhole Route

One incredible September day...

This was my 6th attempt at Longs, and only the second time I made it! Made it to the Keyhole the other 4 times, and a little beyond once...before better judgement took over. If you've never done Longs, don't hesitate to call it good at the Keyhole for whatever reason. It's still a spectacular hike just to there, and there's always another day...

The video includes footage basically from approaching the boulder field, and beyond. I started at 4 am on a saturday, had to park about a half mile down the road from the trail head there were so many people there already! I've started as early as 1:30 am on past attempts. I really took my time, especially taking lots of pics and vids to take advantage of the incredibly beautiful day. Returned to the truck at 7 pm, and man did that beer take good on the deck 30 minutes later!

Looking forward to this August for another attempt to celebrate my 62nd birthday!

Here's the link to the YouTube video...enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4flRvaqmvRQ
