Not Rogaine. I'm hiking Colony Baldy!
It's been a nice autumn here, and I tagged along with Brian and Ben for a fine "gaper slog" up Colony Baldy the weekend before Halloween. It was a true bluebird day, with a nearly cloudless sky and welcome absence of wind. We hadn't realized that the east side of the Sangres had already accumulated a bit of snow, so the mild weather was a boon, as none of us packed gaiters on this day.

That is probably one of the coolest views of KC’s North Ridge that I’ve seen. It gives you that "I climbed that?" feeling! Looks like some great views from Colony Baldy.

Yeah, the 14ers in that area look formidable from Colony Baldy. It’s a great place to be on a clear day!
