Worth the 7 hours of driving I did that day

Glad I drove out there after already being in the car 4 hours that day. The post ski beers on a perfect afternoon in the Sawatch was icing on the cake. Wound up driving up the pass just to hangout afterward. Returned the favor and picked up a skier that must have dropped off the east/north side of Twinings or the neighboring peak.

looks like someone actually had a good time spring skiing. Everyone else is suffering through cement. slop, runnels and broken legs.

By July when I finally get a whack at it after all these years! I just need a report on Oklahoma, The French Group and I'm all set!

Dan- The beers in the parking lot were definitely the icing on the cake! It was a beautiful Colorado spring day in the mountains.

Yikes- Every season has good and bad snow. I few more well known members on this forum have had bad experiences this season. I think that has more to do with the statistical curve than anything. Every season has great and poor snow conditions, as well as everything in between. Glad you liked the report!

Alpineair- Glad you liked the picture of Grizzly! It is a great mountain and one of the best snow climbs/ ski &snowboard descents in the Sawatch. If you have not done it, go climb/ski it. You will not regret it.

Boudreaux- I was just on Oklahoma a few days ago and had a great vantage of the French group from Oklahoma. Look for a tr, I will be writing it soon. Oklahoma and the French group still have tons of snow. I would guess you can still get some snow climbing in on Oklahoma and the French group on the early side of July this year. Good luck!
