 Mt. Rushmore Needles
Before we attempted the 4 pass loop, we spent 4 days climbing at Rushmore Memorial area...the place is great. We had a great time and attempted to capture the climbing there...There is everything for everyone there. Sport, Trad, and mix...multipitch and short powerful bouldery routes.

For peak baggers...We reached Harney Peak. The highest point in SD. It's an easy hike to the top...They say it's the highest point between the Rockies and the Pyrenees? Dont know.

Hope you guys enjoy.

We found it! We jumped on it and loved it. We were amazed to find a grain of sandstonein a sea of granite. It reminded me of Arkansas climbing.

That's such an awesome and under utilized climbing area. Looks like you guys had a fun trip, cool pictures. We're headed back up there in the next week or so to get Gossamer since it was never open when we were there in July.

Next time you're there you should try and find Valdez Overhang at the Chopping Blocks, super fun juggy 5.9.

Edit: Ah, I must have scrolled right past the Valdez picture, glad you got on it!
