 Long's - Kiener's Route
Kieners Route (75 photos)
On August 25th my wife Kristi along with our friends Dan & Andrea climbed Kieners Route on Longs Peak. The weather was perfect and the day was long. We had an incredible time. We were celebrating Kristi's birthday and it was Andrea's first 14er. The route goes at 5.4, so we used an alpine rack . . . Nuts, hexes and a few cams. Some parts were a little challenging in boots, but super classic route. Full value, got our money's worth! 15.5 hour day . . . We were on the trail for sun rise and sun set.

Pictures and commentary from our adventure can be viewed on Merely A Flesh Wound at...

Enjoy!

The challenging conditions of Lambs Slide have deterred an attempt for us this year, good to see it's still getting climbed! Great pictures!

Have always wondered about that route. Thanks for all the amazing shots! Really gave me a feel for what it would be like if I'd ever get a chance to do it. Great job! :D
