 Glacier Gorge Traverse
Bill Briggs and I did the Glacier Gorge Traverse in Rocky Mountain National Park last Sunday. This is an incredible and classic route that links Half Mtn, Storm Pk, Longs, Pagoda, Chief's Head, McHenry's, Powell, Taylor, Otis, Hallett and Flattop in a tough 19 mile loop. My report is here:

Just name your kid Bill and odds are, he'll probably grow up to be a badass muthaf--ka.

That's one hell of an outing, solid work

Hey there. Some friends and i climbed Spearhead that day, when heading out from black lake there was a supposed 2 person ”roped team” that fell just past the keyhole. 3volunteer rangers and the SAR heli was out glassing the area. Why this group was roped i'm not sure but word was one pulled the other and they went downhill from there!
Did anyone else hear about this??? I don't have a TV so i don't keep up with the news! Just thought i'd ask since you were up around the area abouts the same time!! thx

Stupid west ridge on Pagoda! Next time I try this will do what you did (we tried going CCW).

PS had to postpone "the trip" because of monsoonal weather

Thanks for sharing. Was not surprised to see you have run Hardrock 100 before. Initially, I looked at the pic of this loop and though how fun it would be to do. After realizing you were an ultra marathon runner, I changed my mind :) Also, loved your blogs on Hardrock - I enjoyed cheering on the runners the last two years at the Engineer Pass aid station. Won't be able to do so this year as I work all weekends. Keep up the good writing.
