From the summit Lake Trailhead. Other than about a 10 foot section of snow it was easy to navigate around the little snow that was there. It's ranked class 2+ and I guess I agree with that. There's one tiny section that I'd call class 3 but the rest is just basic class 2 (or 1).
9 mountain goats on the way back down. If you watch in hd and enlarge the screen you can see some faint snowflakes at one point.
About 1/3 of a mile West of the peak (on the other side of standard route)
Looking at the peak from near trailhead. The far left is where the ski descent was.
I marked this as a ski descent because I got some pictures and video of these two skiing down. I'm standing about 1/3 mile West of Spalding looking SSW.
The skiers went the other way around the lake than I took on my standard route up Spalding.

That is the spirit of spring skiing and we have had little of it this year, but your report provides some 11th hour inspiration. Thanks. Also glad to see some video up high, with the current light and crisp technology I hope we will see more of it in our TR's.
