Full Trip Report Here

My big trip this summer was supposed to be a through hike of the Weminuche Wilderness. Due to a knee injury on day 2 though we accomplished only a 41 mile route instead of the planned 85 miles. Disappointing but still a great trip. The Weminuche is a huge wilderness and is not easy to cross. Mile after mile the trail throws everything it can at you. I do plan to return some day for another attempt on this magnificent route.

Nice, ambitious trip!

I like how you put ”only” 41 miles!

Sorry you had to stop short of your goal, but super effort and trip all the same.

Thanks for posting.

Like Britt said - ”only” 41 miles... And 11 of it on a bum knee. What an effort! Nice work, Josh!

Still a great accomplishment! Well done report and pics. Did you ever find out what went wrong with your knee, or did it heal up on its own? Just curious.

Pinched Meniscus

Just a pinched meniscus, but enough to put a stop to the trip. I'm back to nearly 100% now.
