It turned out to be a pretty tough climb for them due to the cold but I was very impressed by their ability to push on even when they didn't really want to. Overall it was a great trip and these two (ages 7 and 8 ) did a great job on the mountain. They also helped renew some of my original enjoyment of hiking a 14er. I learned one big lesson on this hike. If hiking a slope on a west face on a day with no chance of thunderstorms in the forecast but some cold weather, go ahead and start the hike a little later so that you won't be in the mountains shadow during the coldest time of day. My daughters bring much joy to me and its even better when we are out climbing and hiking, camping, fishing etc. Your experience looks like a great one and one they will surely remember and hopefully want to do more. Keep it up!!

IN FACT, you caught me, the gray haired man in black stumbling down the rocks in your second picture just above you, struggling with the rocks and snow. Very much impressed!!
