Lenawee Trailhead

Info: Road is dry and easy for almost any vehicle except maybe a low rider due to all the potholes. Definitely no need at all for 4WD although this road would likely be quite a mess after a big rain. Only a tiny parking area by the sign for the trailhead but several spaces about 20ft down the road. Sign marking start of trail blends in to the left of the road - you'll have to walk back to it after parking.

Info: Road is dry and OK without AWD/4wd. Lots of pot holes but nothing difficult.

Info: Having been up this road several times, it is doable in a 2WD sedan, IF you go slow. I'd say its about as hard as the Grays/Torreys road, with maybe a few more holes. Anyone with a stock suburu or truck/suv will find it easy. Water does cross the road several times, but generally shallower then 6 inches.

Info: High clearance recommended! 8" is perfect. No 4wd needed. Most of the road is fine but there are a few spots that will require good clearance. There is a "Lenawee Trailhead" sign right on the road that is very obvious so you'll know exactly where to park when you get there. Absolutely beautiful forest and views on the trail!

Info: Still open and dry. I called the USFS office in Dillon and they said they plan on closing the Peru Creek road on November 22.
