6/21/2022 Posted On: 6/21/2022 By: daway8 Info: Road is dry and easy for almost any vehicle except maybe a low rider due to all the potholes. Definitely no need at all for 4WD although this road would likely be quite a mess after a big rain. Only a tiny parking area by the sign for the trailhead but several spaces about 20ft down the road. Sign marking start of trail blends in to the left of the road - you'll have to walk back to it after parking. | 1 |

8/13/2019 Posted On: 8/13/2019 By: Trotter Info: Having been up this road several times, it is doable in a 2WD sedan, IF you go slow. I'd say its about as hard as the Grays/Torreys road, with maybe a few more holes. Anyone with a stock suburu or truck/suv will find it easy. Water does cross the road several times, but generally shallower then 6 inches.
9/29/2018 Posted On: 9/29/2018 By: Chelsea Info: High clearance recommended! 8" is perfect. No 4wd needed. Most of the road is fine but there are a few spots that will require good clearance. There is a "Lenawee Trailhead" sign right on the road that is very obvious so you'll know exactly where to park when you get there. Absolutely beautiful forest and views on the trail!
