6/27/2025 Posted On: 6/27/2025 By: brian4328937 Info: Most cars with some clearance can probably make it to the TH. Road is in pretty good shape. Took me about 45 minutes to get there from where the road turns dirt. Bathroom at trailhead!
5/26/2025 Posted On: 5/27/2025 By: Athiel Info: totally clear- there was sign that said to use AWD as to not tear the road up. you can make it with low clearance.
9/30/2024 Posted On: 9/30/2024 By: sehessler92 Info: Road is in great shape. There are some bumpier spots along the road but I don't think it would be anything that would deter a passenger vehicle. A passenger Vehicle might have to take a bit slower on some parts. vault toilet at the TH had no TP but the vault toilet near the cabin had some TP.
9/19/2024 Posted On: 9/19/2024 By: colospgs Info: If doing Mt. Ouray from the end of the 200 C spur road, do not follow the logging road past the cabin. The proper trail goes off to the right past the outhouse. It's barely noticeable but if you look closely you'll see it.

6/8/2023 Posted On: 6/9/2023 By: Hannah_Madden Info: Road is dry and in great condition. Lots of camping along the road. If you're hiking Ouray and chose to drive up 200C, do not try to go past the cabin. Road is a mud pit, plus the road is blocked by the loggers just beyond anyways. | 4 |

10/22/2022 Posted On: 10/22/2022 By: Ssgustafson Info: Road is in great condition with no snow to be seen. Toilet is well stocked and open.
10/8/2022 Posted On: 10/10/2022 By: E_A_Marcus_949 Info: Straight forward dirt road. A few larger rocks and potholes - went up in a stock 2012 4Runner, but my 2018 Forester would've done just fine. Careful maneuvering in a few areas lower clearance would probably be fine. No snow, water, puddles, etc. Lots of beautiful aspens still but probably last week for it.
7/6/2022 Posted On: 7/6/2022 By: Carl_Healy Info: Road for the entirety of Marshall Pass, from Poncha Springs to Sargents, in good shape. No treefall, washout, etc. to be concerned about. Will note for very low clearance vehicles there are a few humps on the road, particularly the west side, that you'd need to be careful about, but otherwise any vehicle can make it. | 1 |

9/8/2020 Posted On: 9/8/2020 By: summit2sea Info: Dry and dusty on the main road, aspens are starting to change. Word of warning, if you are driving up at night with a dog (kid?) that needs attention in the back, make sure you don't miss that turn up FS200. Good signage, but right after that turn there is another sign pointing towards a road that will take you up to Marshal Pass via a HC 4WD road (203). Not a problem for stock 4Runner, but a little more difficult in the dark. If you find yourself literally driving up a stream because "The road is flooded", you might want to turn back and find 200.
8/22/2020 Posted On: 8/22/2020 By: spoony Info: Road is in good shape to the trailhead. Dry and dusty.
6/12/2020 Posted On: 6/13/2020 By: overthe59hill Info: Had slight trouble finding the 200C spur. Look on the right of the road as approaching another trail head (not Marshall Pass trail head). You can see the cabin from the road. The road is easy enough for a sedan.
5/24/2020 Posted On: 5/24/2020 By: Zambo Info: Marshall Pass is open and in great shape from the Salida side all the way to the summit. I'm unsure about beyond that, but we heard reports it was open as well.
7/13/2019 Posted On: 7/13/2019 By: Flyingfish Info: Open and in good conditions for the Gunnison side |
