Info: 4wd vehicles were able to get up to the TH. Some parties choose to park below a large snow drift on the road partially blocking access.

Info: Parked at the junction of CR 250 and FR 252 (~8800‘), 3.2 miles from TH and hoofed it from there. After having skinned it, I‘d say it‘s possible to drive at least another 0.5 mile up FR 252.

Info: Sitting at the TH right now. Road is mostly dry; there are some small areas of ice and snow in the last mile, but I‘d venture to guess that most cars could probably get to the TH with careful driving. Not sure for how much longer, though!

Info: As of May 11 evening, there is a large tree down blocking passage on Chaffee 252 about 2.5 miles before the trailhead. I've contacted the forest service, but for now, you should take 250 to 250A to access the trailhead. Both Chaffee 252 and 250/250A are accessible by 2WD (except for the whole tree thing on 252).

Info: The snowdrift on 252 has receded enough to be able to pass by it. The trailhead is open via the standard drive up 252.

Info: Take CR 250 to CR 250A instead of CR 252 and you will be able to make it all the way to the trailhead. CR 250 currently has a 200 ft long snow drift that is impassable by any vehicle.

Info: The road is dry to mile 4.8. At mile 4.8 there is an impassible snowdrift covering approx. 50 yds of the road. Once past the snow drift the trailhead should be easily accessible.

Info: Road impassable by passenger vehicle 3 miles below summer TH due to deep snow to the summer TH. A 4WD is required for the prior 2 miles to that.

Info: Snow drift blocks road about 2.5 miles before trailhead. Drift only about 100 ft. long but clearly impassable. Rest of the road to the TH is clear though.
