Info: Made it to the trailhead and back down in a VW golf without any scraping! Some minor ice in the shady spots. Took 25 minutes to drive the entirety of the dirt road. There were 2 other cars parked there around 11am and all had left by 1330.

Info: It’s important to know that google maps leads you to a closed gate. If you take the parallel road below (which many unfortunate souls did) it’s a very tough jeeping road!
IF you get to the closed gate, you need to TURN AROUND and drive a quarter mile or so back, then take Road 2B up to the trailhead! That road is easy breezy

Info: Made it up in a 2WD low-clearance sedan. Road is rough but in relatively good condition. No clearance or 4WD is needed.

Info: Road is clear to about 0.3 mi. before the summer trailhead --- rockfall at this point blocking most of the road width. Then at 0.1 before the summer TH there is snow across the road.

Info: Gate is open and you can drive a ways up before hitting snow. Road was melting out fast today. I bet the summer trailhead will be accessible in not all too much time.

Info: Gate is still closed at the turnoff to 2B but there was no snow visible beyond the gate. Was able to easily drive CR2 to the end of the tailings ponds. From there, almost completely continuous snow on CR2 up to the summer trailhead. Skied Dyer Mountain off the summit almost all the way back to my truck.

Info: Still closed at winter trail head. Good snowshoeing in to summer TH, with a small section blown down to dirt road. Camped here from 930p-4a before heading up to Mt. Sherman.

Info: We missed the turn off of CR2 to CR2B and came to a closed gate. We thought that this was CR2B and so instead continued on the 4WD road which was probably the scariest part of the whole day. Don't make our mistake: If you see the gate, you have possibly missed the left turn off of CR2 and onto CR2B. Google Maps will take you the wrong way, don't trust it!
