Thats me! Never been in Yankee Boy Basin and had the assurances of pretty much everyone I talked with in town (Ouray) that Id have no issues making it to the lower trailhead. From the other comments Ive read it sounds like the washout was particularly bad during that time; at least thats what Im going to tell myself. If its any consolation, I spent three hours sitting in the dark and rain waiting for the tow/sheriff to come bail me out, and I never even got to climb Sneffels.
