Forest Road 189 is in good shape. Drive 3 miles up a rocky dirt road to Steven‘s Gulch Trailhead. It is completely clear of snow. We drove our Honda Pilot up all the way up without any problems but did see one Honda Accord up there also. That is probably pushing it. A Subaru could do it ok. There is only one spot where there are some large ruts. There are bathrooms and quite a few parking spots, I want to say 35 or so.
