Saw a Geo Metro parked about halfway between the Zapata and Lily Lake trailheads. I kid you not, a Geo Metro. I guess if your Metro conks out on this road you can just abandon it and buy another car. Personally I'd want something with better clearance. Be prepared to encounter cattle, I ran into (well not literally) two separate herds on the way up.
