7/9/2022 Route: Beaubien through 13,229 Posted On: 7/11/2022, By: supranihilest Info: From Whiskey Pass camp straight up a crappy but easy gully to the ridge then summit. Ran the ridge all the way through Point 13,229, including Point 12,810 and Point 12,686 to the west of Beaubien and Francisco Peak, respectively - worth it when you're paying $500 for whatever you can climb. With exception of Miranda the entire ridge is Class 2, there's some minor Class 3 going up Miranda. Descent to Carneros Lake was down a steep, loose gully. Gully a fair bit south of 13,229, is the first obvious way down the cliffs to the lake. The trail down was farther north of Carneros Creek than expected, a GPX was handy here. |
