5/24/2025 Route: Fern Creek Trail Posted On: 5/26/2025, By: HikerGuy Info: Started from Thirty Mile Campground. Route is dry to 11,700. Started at 6:15, snow completely supportive on the way up. Postholed a bit on the way down, probably should have started earlier. Still happy to not have carried snowshoes for 15+ miles, not worth it. A little postholing builds character, haha. 15.49 miles, 4,241 feet and 7h 22m round trip. |

7/12/2023 Route: via CDT from Squaw pass Posted On: 7/14/2023, By: SnowAlien Info: Departed our campsite ~11.2k around 8am, stashed overnight packs and started up the trail around 8.20am. There is a little bit of deadfall on the trail. Route is very straightforward, the only distraction were wildflowers. Arrived on the summit just after 10am, register still in good shape. Reversed our route, got back to our packs around noon and hobbled out of the basin on the never ending trail back to Thirtymile. Stats for the day: 17 miles (10+ miles of backpacking) and 9+ hours. |
