10/16/2022 Route: East Ridge from 13,110 via CDT Posted On: 10/17/2022, By: supranihilest Info: The standard way of doing the Nebo group by going up 13,230 A's northwest ridge was far too snowy for us to climb it, so we went WAY around by taking the CDT east to West Ute Lake, then to where it passes around 13,169's east ridge. The east ridge from here was somewhat tedious boulders and grass intermixed before becoming purely boulders. A couple of notches were easily bypassed, one is Class 2+ or Class 3. Since we knew the northwest slopes/ridge of 13,169 would also be very snowy and exceptionally tedious we descended the east ridge before heading to Nebo and 13,230 A. |
