Route: From Rock Lake & Peters Peak Posted On: 7/19/2020, By: supranihilest Info: From Peters Peak to the saddle with Point 13,222 A is just a talus hop. 13,222 A's southeast ridge contains some Class 2+ to Class 3 scrambling up some ribs or a prominent gully that's obvious by the layers of rock sandwiched in it. The gully was pleasant scrambling if a bit loose. We descended to "P 3" which consisted of a long talus hop. It appeared that escape could be made north on talus into Rock Creek drainage, if necessary. Photos: 1) Point 13,222 A from Peters Peak. 2) Scramble up. 3) Terrain over to "P 3". NOTE: Since this was ascended a while ago and I'm just now getting back to internet, I've put today's date for visibility, since there hasn't otherwise been recent updates for the peak. I'll backdate this CR in a couple of days. |
