Route: From Fools Pyramid

Info: Started at Thirty Mile CG at 2:50 AM traversed from 13017-Window-RGP-Fools-13261. From RGP I dropped down to the north of the bump directly in the ridge. Options were loose rock or soft snow, so I trail runner skied down the snow to the north and east to the saddle. After the snow on the north of the ridge bump there was no more snow on the route. I climbed the south side of the west ridge up Fools (summit around 12) then dropped down the north east ridge toward it's saddle with 13261. The ugly looking tower is easily bypassed by dropping down 150 feet past the saddle to 12850 or so and following the climbers trail across holding the elevation about the same before regaining on volcanic talus toward the saddle on the north east of said ugly tower. From here I just followed the ridge up, mostly with visible climbers trail the whole way to the summit. Register is in great condition, but running low on space, it's in a baby food jar so paper will have to be 2 inches wide or so if someone brings more out. I didn't cross any snow once I got off RGP and even that would have been avoidable. Summited around 1 pm, and took off back over Fools so I could get back to the CDT. It looks like the basin from 13261 following Weminuche creek would go but there is so much beetle kill and I didn't want to think that hard already 18 miles into the day. The CDT was cruiser once I got back to it and I was happy to know I had 9 or so easy miles back to Thirty Mile Campground at this point. I stopped to filter water once as I ran out at 11,500 or so, already having drank 3 liters (a lot for me). My goal was to make the 28 mile round trip in 14 hours and it ended up taking me 14.5 including around 45 minutes of stoppage time so I'm not to disappointed in myself. I saw a moose on the way out on Rincon La Vaca which was cool and it didn't seem to care about me which was nice cause I didn't have energy to do anything but keep walking at that point.

Info: Very little remaining snow, and it was completely avoidable. Plenty of downed trees on the Weiminuche Trail.
