Peak Condition Updates

Route: From Rock Lake

Info: The hike over the pass between Rock Lake and Half Moon Lake is dry and easy to follow. From the pass we descended on the trail for a ways, then left the trail and onto grassy slopes towards Moon Lake (not to be confused with Half Moon Lake nearer the pass). We went around Moon Lake's west side on talus then to the basin underneath Point 13,340 B and Point 13,310. We crossed the basin and went up the east slopes to the saddle between the two peaks, which consisted of grass mixed with some rock and dirt. There's a small snowfield at the saddle that can be skirted either left or right. From there we ascended grassy slopes to the summit. Photos: 1) from Rock/Half Moon Lakes Pass. 2) Looking up the basin towards 13,340 B. Photo 3) 13,340 B from near the saddle, with snow field visible. All photos by Garrett M. NOTE: Since this was ascended a while ago and I'm just now getting back to internet, I've put today's date for visibility, since there hasn't otherwise been recent updates for the peak. I'll backdate this CR in a couple of days.
