7/18/2020 Route: From Twin Sisters West Posted On: 7/19/2020, By: supranihilest Info: Easy Class 2 traverse between the two peaks. Near the saddle there's one short, chossy outcropping that has an easy bypass to the north on loose dinner plates. The entire mountain is made up of this junk but it's not difficult, just annoying. We descended southeast down steep, loose, mixed grass/talus/scree slopes towards Point 13,042, but if this is your last peak of the day the Colorado Trail is to the south and there's an excellent unmarked trail that takes you down Porcupine Creek. It's probably hard to miss but once you're on it it's obvious - large cairns, giant, sawed up trees, the works. This trail takes you back to Mineral Creek and then to the road. |

6/2/2019 Route: Standard Route Posted On: 6/3/2019, By: davebks Info: The mid portion above the landslide was pretty snowy. Had on microspikes until the last bit of the rock field below the summit. Overall it was great though. Summit of both sister's was totally clear. |
