Info: "Big Blue" is probably the coolest peak of this loop and worth climbing - the views of Uncompahgre's north face from here are absolutely stunning, probably the finest of any peak in the entire Uncompahgre Wilderness. From Silver drop south and either scramble over and down the bulbous mesa in the middle of the ridge (Class 2+) or bypass on the right (crappy Class 2?). "Big Blue" is a series of cliffs, the first is Class 3 via a groove on the left corner of the cliff (maybe 10 feet tall) and then 150 feet or so of Class 2+ to a notch. The notch is easy but loose, the final summit block is even more loose Class 2+. To descend I went back down all the scrambling and before the bulbous mesa went east down a grass and scree slope into the basin south of Fall Creek.
