4/13/2024 Route: From Cataract Gulch Posted On: 4/14/2024, By: Will_E Info: Trail from Cataract gulch had nice ski tracks until just past the waterfall, the tracks went off towards Quarter Peak. I followed my tracks from Friday getting 13,587 and 13,573 until just north of the gully between Cataract and Tundra Top, I went up the west side from there. Fairly steep, the snow quality was good. Left snowshoes about halfway up when the rocks started popping out, from there it wasn't difficult to get to summit, but a few scree sections were annoying. Coming down I didn't use crampons, but kept axe at the ready. Nice day. |

8/22/2021 Route: From \"Tundra Top\". Posted On: 8/22/2021, By: supranihilest Info: Descend from "Tundra Top" to the saddle with "Cataract Peak". There is a trail on the far eastern side but it's steep and extremely loose. In between the two peaks is pleasant tundra. There's an obvious trail up "Cataract"'s south face. The bottom part to the switchback is steep and loose and tiring, but once past the switchback the trail eases in angle and effort. Take it to a small saddle and then hike climber's left/west to the summit. Since I took an uncommon route up either return to the Continental Divide trail by going back over "Tundra Top", or if you took my route up, descend back down the trail to the large bowl between the two peaks and descend the drainage back down the waterfall and to the Cataract Gulch trail. |

6/19/2020 Route: from Tundra Top Posted On: 6/21/2020, By: WildWanderer Info: There's still snow in the gully if you wish to ascend straight up the face. This snow was compact in the morning. No traction needed to cross, but later in the day might be needed. Snow avoidable coming down from Tundra Top. |
