Peak Condition Updates
8/30/2019
Route: Combo: 13,832 + 13,811
Posted On: 9/3/2019, By: 9patrickmurphy
Info: Trail dies out a little as you skirt PT13632, comes back a little gaining UN13811. Pretty easy. Some decent scree-skiing descending PT13632, but avoidable if you're not into fun.

Route: Combo: 13,832 + 13,811

Info: Many slide paths up the Silver Creek Trail but no issues route finding in the dark. Actually make the trail better as it was easy to just walk up/down the snow. Route above treeline is dry. Trail is thin toward the end but no big deal.

Route: Williams Creek
Posted On: 8/14/2019, By: JChitwood
Info: Both creek crossings easy and you can follow Williams Creek Trail to the base of 13,811 then take grass to the summit rocks. Only a few patches of snow left and none near the trail. Trail goes through aspens for miles highly recommended for mid September. Lots of vertical since it starts near Lake San Cristobal probably over 5k including the dreadful uphills on the way down.

Route: Williams Creek Campground
Posted On: 5/25/2019, By: WildWanderer
Info: Large mix of trail conditions: dry dirt, mud, ice, and consistent snow beginning at 11,500. No visible tracks in the area after snow began. Lots of downed trees on the trail. The trail was a river of water from 9000'-10,000'. Snowshoes needed from 11,500. Last 300 feet to the summit required crampons. Very intense wind and varying states of snow from solid to postholing to my waist. Fun!

Info: Easy traverse from 13,832. You can somewhat bypass the bump between the two but it only saves a bit of elevation gain.

Info: Summer conditions. Good trail all the way to the east side of PT 13832. Great views of the north face of 13,632 from atop PT 13811.

Route: Silver Creek

Info: We climbed in conjunction with Peak 13,832 from Silver Creek TH. Trail segments and cairns to the right of the ridge the whole way. It took us around 7.5 hours RT. Only saw one other person, but waived to the crowds on Redcloud.

Info: All Clear from the Redcloud trail over PT 13,832
