Info: Climbed McClellan today along with Edwards via the Edwardian Couloir from Argentine Pass TH. The route has some snow but it is easily mitigated if you stick to the ridge proper (left-sided when going up), we plunge stepped down Edwards which was quite snowy and were able to take off our crampons for the ascent up McClellan by sticking to the rocks. The ridge is super pretty and there wasnt a soul in sight today.

Route: Edwards+McClellan via Argentine Pass

Info: I skirted below the summit cone on Edwards from the final saddle on the SE ridge at ~13,500'. Did a descending traverse to the McClellan-Edwards saddle (~13,400'), one short talus field to cross otherwise class 2 tundra/rock mix. Worked quite nicely actually. Easy ascent/descent of McClellan and ascent to Edwards, lots of trail segments and pretty easy class 2 off-trail travel. Not 100% on which summit of McClellan is the "real" one, so I tagged them all. The NE of the pair seemed to be a touch higher.

Info: Grassy Class 2 the entire way between Edwards and McClellan. Traversing back from McClellan to Argentine Pass trailhead has one snow crossing, and it is easy to stay at the proper elevation contour. The old pack trail down from Argentine Pass to the trailhead in Ruby Gulch is long but easy and contains one Class 2+/Class 3 section a couple feet in height. Do not try to cut the trail, it's extremely steep and loose off-trail.
