Route: Iron Gates
Posted On: 7/16/2023, By: Gibson135
Info: Totally clear,, snow-free trail till just past the lake. There are then two places to cross here. They werent too bad on the morning due to solid steps pressed in and frozen. Still, coming back when it warmed up I used an ax . I already had it out after straying too far downhill left coming back - had to cross and steep solid snow area where it was necessary - so it came in handy already out crossing the two by the lake when they warmed up. Other than that its all clear heading up the Iron Gates and then to the summit. I put a photo of what the Loft Couloir looks like today too - last one

Route: Chasm Lake to NE Ridge
Posted On: 10/6/2022, By: HikesInGeologicTime
Info: Snow on this route was avoidable until just below M. Ridge summit. Planned to continue to Meeker, but I was sketched out by the crummy early-season snow clinging to the north (Chasm Lake) side of the ridge and knife edge. Did bring microspikes, though never used them. Iron Gates had snow which you can avoid by going left and following the cairns to curl around to the ridge. Helps to make a note of where exactly you left the Chasm Lake trail to start up to ridge, especially if you know you will be coming back in the dark. Amazingly windless day for the area; did have to contend with unforecasted fog that affected visibility a few times.

Route: Southeast ridge via Lookout Mountain Trail
Posted On: 7/11/2017, By: paigie_42
Info: The route is clear of snow all the way to the top. There are still a few patches, but all can be avoided. The ridge between Meeker Ridge and Mt. Meeker is clear of all snow.
