Condition Update

Fantastic peak and traverse. Was expecting a lot of choss, but the rock is actually pretty good. Traverse is long and burly with 3 distinct cruxes. Elk Creek basin is green and pretty unlike the ROA approach. All 3 registers are in good shape, thanks to WW.

#1) Wilson peak above ROA saddle#2) Fowler as seen from UN#3) Ridge to Fowler#4) 2nd peak of the day#5) Exposed ridge to Boskoff#6) Descent off Fowler#7) Ridge crux. Fowler to Boskoff is not a usual traverse, what class did it go to? I had read some horrible descriptions about it on the summit registers and online. Super cool you got all 3 in one go.

about the bad rap on this traverse, and was very pleasantly surprised, particularly with rock quality. The only report on the ridge traverse that I saw was from Presto and its right on the money. I would say the main crux goes at low 5th class, but I didn't look hard for a bypass. It's one of the better ridge traverses that I've done.

Glad to see there are some lesser known quality traverses over there
