Summitted Elbert today. I parked about halfway between 2wd and 4wd TH, I found a nice campsite so didn't venture farther. Most anything with 4wd/AWD can get within a mile or so of the TH. The route is pretty well packed, I took snowshoes with, but never used them. A few post holes on the way down, but not worth snowshoeing up. Nice day up there, just a little windy at summit. |
