Highest altitude murder?

Post by mikefromcraig »

What is the highest altitude first-degree murder (Not including negligence or refusal to save someone's life, and not including in an airplane)?

I found this one at a 14,000' base camp: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Nang ... t_massacre

It's gotta be when the aggro dude in Vertical Limit kills the trip leader with the syringe full of air when they are trapped in the crevasse. By my educated guess, they must've been at least 24,000 feet.

It's a test to demonstrate how people's response could be subtly affected by careful dissemination of information.

there is a long standing "rumor" in the Argentinian mountaineering world of 2 suspicious deaths on Aconcagua's polish glacier from about 20 years ago. if this was indeed a murder, it would put it between 19.3 - 22k ft.

a married couple + an additional female climber went up on the glacier...only the married woman came down. rumor is, she figured out her husband was cheating on her with the other climber and developed the expedition as a way to cover their murders. i first heard this interesting rumor from an argentinian guide while on acon.

Haha strive to be #1!

I just want to be absolutely certain before I invest in the expedition.
