New Gear

Post by Linux_92 »

So, I am essentially blind, and love big devices. I usually carry a map of the direct area I am approaching and one I download. I am looking at getting the Montana 710 garmin nav system for both the size, accessibility, and safety as it does have the in reach option. Does anyone have any pros or cons, its $799 but I hate watches so this looks like a better option for me. Weight is negligent as I Pack pretty lite. I still plan on carrying my physical and other downloaded maps. Looking forward to hearing some reviews from people that might have it or know someone who does.

I'd just get an inreach mini. Other than pushing a button to turn it on, you rarely need to interact with it directly -- use your phone.
