Curious about "the 73 list"

Post by seannunn »

Shout out to Daway for his great trip reports. I have notice he references the "73 (72?) list" more than once.
Can someone tell us what the extra 15 are, beyond the 58 list?
I have some guesses but I don't want to presume.

Go to the map on this site and check the box under 14ers for Sub-Summits - that will show you all 15

Or check out my trip report that gives some background on all of them and also addresses what a sub-summit is.

You can also see them on the checklist page by selecting both the unranked and unnamed options. I see that Sunlight Spire has been relegated to the unranked, unnamed 13er list where it belongs. :)

Or address your wife and wiggle around how the list of 58 really means 73
