Evans/Blue Sky from Upper Bear Creek (Evergreen)

Post by jgregory »

Hey all! Just wondering if anyone has any info on this route. It's not an official route, but the wilderness area has trails leading from the Camp Rock trailhead (end of Upper Bear Creek Rd) to Summit Lake. Has anyone done this as a multi-day? Summer or winter? I'm just curious because I haven't found any information online. Thanks!

Mapping it on Gaia it looks like it would be about 11 miles and 5,000 ft of gain one-way. It looks like there's a flat meadow to camp in about 4 miles up the trail. This would be an interesting way to hike Blue Sky, especially next summer with the year-long road closure.
