Happened Friday night off East Ridge route. Broken bones, head injury, hypothermia and frostbite due to the extreme conditions. Glad there was a good out come here and her hiking partner was able to activate the emergency beacon on their InReach.
Hats off to the SAR team that was out there over night and got them supplies until the helicopter could get them out safely in the morning!

Wow. 12400' (as reported, probably to be taken with a grain of salt) is not all that far into the ridge - I think the turnoff from the CT is at 11,700. 500' is a tremendous fall all the way to treeline.
