Ten Sleep Fatality 6/26

Post by climbingyogi »

Basic news article here: https://oilcity.news/news/2025/06/27/cl ... ep-canyon/

While I know this was a rock climbing fatality (sport climbing, to be more specific) and not a big mountain hiking/scrambling fatality, I thought I'd share the news with this community as well. I know that some of you on here are a part of both of these groups (like myself).

My heart is aching right now after losing one of our own. If you'd like, you can donate to the Schleicher family here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-the-sch ... ons-memory

And as we move into the busy climbing/mountaineering season, please remember to check your knots (if you're using ropes), check your partners' knots, and look out for each other. This is a devastating loss.
