While I know this was a rock climbing fatality (sport climbing, to be more specific) and not a big mountain hiking/scrambling fatality, I thought I'd share the news with this community as well. I know that some of you on here are a part of both of these groups (like myself).

And as we move into the busy climbing/mountaineering season, please remember to check your knots (if you're using ropes), check your partners' knots, and look out for each other. This is a devastating loss.
