You can definately send a text from the peak South Maroon and the peak of Pyramid. The weather conditions last week may have prevented that. Below the peak though, there is no service. Admittedly, I have not tried at every level below the peak, but have toggled the airplane mode at unrecalled locations with no luck. Satellite service is great there.

Edit: I would also like to point out there is a gulley filled with large loose rocks next to the chimney on south maroon. Its easy to send the gulley instead of the chimney by mistake (I did). In regards to the "vision", there are plenty of places along that route you could be buried under a large pile of rocks. There are also false cairns along the route that lead you to ever worse terrain. Eventually you perform a traverse and end up climbing the second chimney to reach the highly exposed traverse (the other place likely to claim a climber).

I can't help but continue to think he missed the left turn after the green rock toward the 'leap of faith' coming down Pyramid's NE ridge.

Just a random idea, has anyone tried trolling Instagram under the #maroonbells hash tag? Far FAR more people post their stuff on IG than visit this site. Here's some account names of people that look to have climbed or backpacked Bells area around Monday/Tuesday of last week (hard to tell exact day, because people tend to post pictures after the fact and I don't know what the weather was like that day to sift through better). Pitkin Sheriff or Aspen Rescue might want to start messaging them for possible info...

That's just for the #maroonbells tag. I'm sure a dozen other tags will reveals lots of other possibilities.

Ditto to the last post. I have also thought about spreading the word on Facebook and other social media platforms. People access these regularly on a daily basis. My prayers to the family for a positive outcome.
Never,never give up!.

This lady wrote me on FB:

HI, my name is ------ and I worked with Mo at Intel. I heard about Dave missing the other day. I have been working with my physic friend to help come up with anything. I talked to her the other day and she was coming with "pyramid" and didn't understand or know what that meant. I saw that this is one of the areas so I asked her to think more on it. She just sent me a text around 4 today so I called Grant at the Sherriff's Dept. I'm passing on the same info that I gave Grant. She indicates that "her guides feel that he's stranded on a cliff injured but alive." I believe in this woman so much and she's continuing to channel her guides for an update. It might sound crazy but I truly believe in her. I told Grant to search the cliff sides and he said he would pass that information on. I saw your post and figured I would reach out to you as well. Please let me know if there's anything else we can do

Anyone know of any particular??

SAR and the Sheriff continue to do incredible work in dangerous places and conditions.

I just used my facebook account on which I have somehow accumulated a gazillion "friends" I don't even know. I linked this thread and explained the entire situation. I also used my instagram story and snap chat story to explain the situation and link to this thread. I have a large following on both. I pray this in some way helps. My heart aches for his friends and family. Bring Dave home.
