Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
Here are stats thru day 2. Currently at North Cottonwood Creek. I'm guessing Yale then Columbia/Harvard/Belford/Oxford/Missouri push. Man, I can't believe I said that...? Good luck today!

Andrew is approaching the summit of Mt Harvard for #12/100. I would guess that from there he'll descend into Pine Creek and then climb Emerald/Missouri/Oxford/Belford and then to the Missouri Gulch TH??

Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
He skipped Yale. Might descend back in Horn Fork and go up it from there. Otherwise, I'd expect he'd do Oxford first, then traverse west around to Emerald. Oxford last means he'd need to reascend Belford to get down. From Emerald, he can drop down to Clohesy, and either exit to Rockdale or continue to Huron.

I suspect he's saving Yale for night or bad weather.

I would've suspected he snagged Yale, then moved on to another easy group. from an efficiency standpoint I would imagine it makes the most sense to take care of the Belford group along with Ice, North Apostle, Huron, Emerald, Iowa, then Belford group, with hope afterwards. I suppose that would be a mega undertaking though with support at Rockdale & Missouri Gulch it seems possible. It would be really efficient.CCU_Jim wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 11:43 am He skipped Yale. It seems this weather has him all messed up, itll be interesting to see how he ends up cleaning this mess up.
Good luck, Andrew!!

Yale is a good safety school.
Andrew must be related to Alexander Hamilton because they're both money!

Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
Hey guys.
Okay,
1) yes saving Yale and a few other easys for crap weather.
2) Today is turning into a monster day, after a lot of communication the plan is Harvard, Columbia (done) Ox, Bel, Missouri, (Iowa), Emerald, THEN we meet him on summit of Huron, (hoping for midnight- that’s a little conservative) for resupply, warm food, etc, (I’m bringing a sleeping bag I really want to encourage him to nap on the summit for a half hour or so, then he continues on to N apostle, and Ice, and then meets us back down at the Huron TH for a much needed sleep!! He was wanting to grab those before the weather comes in tomorrow. It is supposed to be dry overnight via Tomer, he approves of the plan. (Thank you Chris!)
3) OOS for quite some time now, so you’ll hear from us tomorrow

Thanks for the update Andrea. That is a big couple of days. N. Apostle and Ice when tired! Yikes! Praying for his safety and encouragement and using all his skills to navigate that stretch safely!asansone wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 2:15 pm Hey guys.

Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
Hey guys! Coming in from Belford peak here! Oops i screwed up and told the crew to meet me on Huron peak with supplies because they couldn’t Ford the creek to clohesy. Then later i realized they can’t meet me up there! Stinking 3000 foot rule haha. Anyway so new plan is see if they can safely hike across creek to get to clohesy, or just meet me in morning.
I’m gonna try ice mountain and north apostle tonight to try to get them before snow tomorrow. This morning Chris Tomer gave us updated info that weather would hold in sawatch today and he was right! Thanks Chris!
Alright well on to Missouri. Hoping the east ridge is dry!

Re: 2021 Centennials Speed Record Attempt
I'm not seeing much snow at all on the noaa forecasts, is there a specific region that's going to get a bunch tomorrow? Way to put the hammer down Andrew!
