...an aging, wise Coloradan once told me, "I know the location of a massive gold vein. I can take you there, but you'll have to be blindfolded the whole time."

I really enjoyed Snowmass to Hagerman.

Re: Colorado's best "on the d/l" scrambles
Really appreciate this thread and the insight gleaned from others. I've been more into the canyoneering scene for the last several years and neglecting the mountains, but it's nice to see that there is more interest in difficult scrambling in Colorado than I realized. (Given the attraction of generally easy 14er routes for the masses.) Although I live in Grand Junction and I largely haven't been aware of or dismissed most of these routes discussed in RMNP due to the distance. (As well as not being around all of you ultra-athletes in Boulder, etc.)
Hoping to catch up on some of these and more in July or September between other trips. Please feel free to reach out to me if anyone is looking for a partner.

The ridge direct route on capitol was a lot of fun.
The summit block on Kismet by Sneffles is an enjoyable experience.
Kelso on Torreys is well known for good reasons as it is really fun. Especially in February.
