The fourmile creek area is past it's peak colors, it might last this weekend but the storm that came in last night might have blown a lot of the leaves off. Kenosha was past it's prime with lot of dry trees when I passed through on Monday.

So should I expect there to be much traffic on I-285 tomorrow (Friday)? I was thinking of heading out that way (to go mountain biking at Buffalo Creek), but will change my plans if the traffic (due to Fall colors) will be bad...

At Kenosha Pass the leaves are on the ground. Kebler is 3 to 4 days from being perfect. The Bells is as close to peak as you can get.

The silver creek area around Lake City is kinda weird, the aspens that were yellow were really yellow and about to shed their leaves, there were some patches of green too. Overall I will say it's peaked and this weekend will be good. Telluride area still has lot of green patches and lot of yellow ones too. Kinda all over the place this year.

Any updates? I've been away for a few weeks but would like to do either (Tour de) Huron or California Pk depending on colors/weather.

I did a Tour de' Colorado early last week (drove from Wyoming -> Maroon Bells -> Kebler Pass -> Crested Butte -> Ouray -> Silverton -> Durange -> Wolf Creek -> Colo Springs). Most high elevations areas were either at or just past peak conditions, even down in the San Juans. The one such area that hadn't yet peaked was the Dyke area of Kebler Pass, but I was about a week early I would guess. At lower elevations (i.e., Aspen valley, Dallas Divide), there was still a week or two to go. Those spots and others at similar elevations/latitudes might be peaking right now (https://aspen.roundshot.com/power-of-four/).

I would suspect there is not much if any color left, and with the storms from now thru the weekend it will wipe out any stragglers.

The sawatch last weekend was past peak, only aspens below 10000 ish still had leaves, but what was there was pretty.
