Hell yeah sweet accomplishment! What did the timeline look like along your journey? Any breaks along the way?
Thanks! I started out doing a good chunk 2011-2012. I kinda ebbed and flowed the next 7-8 years after that but hadn't set any solid goals of finishing. I did ones that looked fun and convenient (driving-wise). I thought getting half way would be more than plenty for me. Summer of 2015 I hung out in the Wind Rivers and 2018 I spent in Alaska guiding so those were 0 seasons 13er-wise. I almost quit the pursuit at end of 2019 season..I was mostly satisfied with what I had visited except I hadn't seen a lot of the Weminuche and I did want to experience that! The pandemic opened up a lot of time and I went up as much as I could in 2020 and 2021. By end of 2021 I had roughly 100 or so visits to go and I figured I might as well try.

I'm always super stoked when people are able to finish
this list! I'm also assuming I owe you a thank you - as a friend & I had planned out the west side approach to this peak a week earlier & were very happy to see Natalie's start of your finisher thread on the eve of our hike. Congrats & thanks again!
You're welcome! Keep savoring the journey and all the views!

Congrats, Tyler! Great style finishing just as winter hits. It was great to meet you a few years back, thanks for the ride down from Carson Pass!
Winter indeed has hit, amazing totals so far. Likewise, that road was a bit icy I remember! good luck on your final few, congrats!!

I am thankful for avoiding major injury (though I do remember close calls with loose rock, wind, lightning or sheer clumsiness on my part).
Congrats on finishing the 13ers.
And kudos on possessing the wisdom to be thankful at the end of the journey.
Thank you, gratitude is grounding and an antidote to fear
