Moabs could work well if they fit right, but they might not last as long. Scarpa approach shoes are great for grip and are comfy for wider feet. I just bought shoes from https://dealsandstealstoday.jimdosite.com/, and they’re definitely worth checking out!

I've used La Sportiva Boulder approach shoes and we're happy with them. Grippier soles than a trail shoe and firmer more squared edges facilitate positioning on more technical terrain.
