That is insanely impressive timing for both the peaks coming after such a long schedule. =D>

Wow. Who needs the Olympics when there is Andrew Hamilton? Just amazing. Congratulations to a stunning achievement.

By my estimates, Andrew will have hiked 471 miles when he reaches the finish line. However, since I'm only duplicating his smoothed tracker data, he is certainly zigging and zagging a little. At a 5% factor, that would put him at 495 miles so I think it's safe to say he hiked more than the distance of the Colorado Trail in "22 days and change". What that doesn't factor in is the elevation gain/loss. By my estimate that is, again, understated, Andrew will have gained about 249k during those 495 miles. The only estimate I could find for CT gain is 90k.

Something tells me this record will stand for a long, long, long, long, long, long, time. And not just because no one else is crazy enough to try it. Set by a forty-six-year-old, no less! Unbelievable. =D>

Congratulations to Andrew, Andrea, and everyone else involved. Now...sleep!

Congratulations Andrew! Ten years from now we'll still be talking about this incredible accomplishment - nobody's touching this record for a long, long time!
