Some great photos posted already! I have a series of goat pictures that are meaningful to me. Took the first one of my Dad encountering a goat on Windom Peak in 2002. We had already climbed Eolus, North Eolus, and Sunlight that morning and our descent route after N. Eolus was the snow filled couloir seen in the photo (Dad did not enjoy the snow too much). The second photo is of me on North Maroon taken by my buddy Alan in 2010 as he was trying to finish off the 14ers. To round out three generations of climbers and goats, I took the third photo of my daughter in 2016 while we were heading towards Sunlight.

Guided meditation at Twin Lakes above Chi Basin, July 2015. Random dude in the frame is Boulderite I believe, hope that he approves use of footage. Goats are David, Laura, Kyle and Chrysta, left to right.

Looks like the same one I saw up there on Saturday! I did the Traverse and got surprised by a goat at the flag cairn. It came up behind me and poked around in the rocks. I moved down the ridge a bit to give it some space.HikerGuy wrote:Today (7/9) on Peak 10.

Re: Your Favorite Mountain Goat Photos
Great thread topic - I was just going through my pictures during our Maroon Bells Traverse. This mama (?) and her billy guided my climbing partner and I literally from the moment we stepped on to North Maroon (they showed us the beta up from the Bell Cord exit!) to when we finally got off the mountain at the rock glacier.
Pretty sure she just wanted food. She was fun company to have, though.
Taken from the N. Maroon summit. Billy is hiding somewhere.

Re: Your Favorite Mountain Goat Photos
First noticed this goat from K2 and again on the Knife Edge. Lost sight of it descending K2 so I'm not sure it's the same one, but it was still cool to see one up close scrunching across the Knife Edge like a caterpillar (September 2015).
