Truly a class act. Thanks again to MRA members Peter and Keith for doing this.

Props to Djkest for asking if "getting the page would be appropriate". Thx to DeuceWild, Onearmsteve, Ztop, and Sherpasmith who's feedback of the impact on family and friends was all the permission I needed in my heart. Sent the scanned pages to CMC to be archived. Asked if I owed them for tearing the page out but nothing back yet.

Nice job sending the page. That will mean a lot to them.

Re: A request from the FDNY in memory of Lenny Joyner
Mountain Rescue Aspen President Doug Paley traveled to New York this week. Yesterday, he attended Lenny Joyner's memorial service and presented this to the family:
Special thanks to Main Street Gallery in Carbondale who refused to charge for the framing after they heard Lenny's story, and again to Peter and Keith with MRA for retrieving the summit register page.

Looks like the CMC is quite pleased with what you guys did with the summit register.

Yeah, in the web version (http://coloradomountainclub.blogspot.co ... r.html?m=0) I noticed the author used "14erWorld" as a tag. That annoyed me a little since 14erWorld had nothing to do with this. I emailed Steve Bonowski about it and he forwarded me the email that he sent to the author, but it hasn't been removed yet.smoove wrote:Looks like the CMC is quite pleased with what you guys did with the summit register.

Very powerful—video, summit log, SAR efforts, assistance from Terry and others at this site, all of it. As an Adirondack 46er and longtime hiker in the east, I send kudos and good vibes west to everyone involved. May Lenny Joyner rest in peace.
