Whoa! Way to go! Got to post a TR.
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters." - Norman Maclean

Very Cool, literally! Congratulations!
The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker

Congratulations on your Vinson summit Brad! And congratulations to the team as well!
"Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life..."

Aw, thanks folks. I’m fresh off of my flight from Santiago back to the states, and wasn’t expecting to see this thread. I’ve been journaling daily with my Fisher space pen, so a trip report won’t be a problem once I get settled back in at home. The real story on Vinson this year was Hari Budha Magar being the first ever above the knee double amputee to complete the 7-summits. What an amazingly humble, driven guy! It was an honor to meet him and climb the mountain alongside him.

Wow! That is truly incredible and inspiring! Excited to read your trip report once you’ve had some time to settle back in!
