I like this photo not as much for the quality or composition as for the experience of taking it. I had just trail run up Mt Royal and was taking in the view of Lake Dillon when this goat came strolling over the ridge. I didn’t want to be this close to it (this photo was taken with an iPhone); but opted to sit still and let it pass rather than make any sudden movements. It moved along and we both got to enjoy the view. I was surprised to see a goat this low.

I like this one because I took it while lounging in my hammock at Chicago Basin while a family of mountain goats were casually walking around.

Goat greeter on the final push up Harvard. This is a somewhat old photo. I always liked how it stood there overlooking the ridge to Columbia in the background.

Twin kids on greys. The nanny stayed away but the kids were curious. Probably same ones from BMCqueen's pics

Taken while descending Mt Sniktau, right after sunrise. For a straightforward hike, this is still one of my best days in the mountains. Saw shooting stars, the sunrise, and this majestic goat gazing upon his land.
